7 Months! - Mister H

This post is a tad late, but I feel justified since we just had a big move!  The day after we moved in to our new place was the day he turned 7 months.

This past month he has grown up a lot.  I think its even time for his first haircut.  I find this a tad sad because it means he's not a baby anymore, he's a little boy!  Although it us fun to watch him growing up into a little boy!

Hudson did really good with the big move!  2 and a half days of travelling and two nights in hotels.  He entertained himself in his seat and would watch us through his mirror and chat at us.  And he has adjusted well to his new home and to all the new people.

He's getting better and better at sitting. He smiles and laughs so much now too.  He's also starting to chub out a bit more.

I just love this months photos of him.  He's such a doll.  One thing I was able to capture this month that he has been doing is this little tilt of his head while he's figuring out something new or listening to you talk.

I hope you enjoy this May long weekend!  It sure started off with some warm weather for us!

6 Months! - Mister H.

Half a year has already flown by with Hudson in our lives! He has been a joy!  An exhaustive, humbling, goofy, sweet joy.

This month he learned how to sit which has been a fun new development for him.  He now has a new perspective.  I think he looks so much older now that he's sitting up on his own.

For this months post we got outside to enjoy the nice weather and the flowers popping up in the gardens!  Here's a few of my favourites of him this month!

Have a great afternoon!

We're moving!

Big news for Popcorn Photography!

We are relocating to Thunder Bay, Ontario!

This is a big thank you to all my clients (who have become more like friends!) for your support over these past few years in Southern Ontario!  It has been an honor to document your families and their growth with the addition of new little ones!

We are very sad to leave this area and our friends here, but are looking forward to being closer to where my husband and I both grew up and our family that still lives there.  The grandparents are quite excited to have Hudson (and I think us as well) closer to them!

Thanks again for all of your support and I hope you willl continue to stay in touch.

And because every post is better with a picture...here's one of my cabin that is a taste of what is drawing us back to Northwestern Ontario!

{The Whole Bag!} Easter Celebration!

This is a family that I have photographed before and I adore. I was super excited to be able to photograph their extended family's Easter celebration!  There was lots of food, crazy family antics and an Easter egg hunt to top it all off.

When I got there it was sprinkling out but thankfully the weather cleared up before the egg hunt. It was so fun watching the kids burst through the back door to go search for eggs!  Here's just a few photos from that fun afternoon!

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

{Just Popped!} Emma

I know that Emma's mom has been patiently waiting for these photos of their new baby girl!

Meet sweet little Emma:

You might find she looks familiar in this particular photo:

I think she looks identical to her big brother who I photographed two years ago.

I loved so many things about this session but one of my favourite things is the series showing the interaction between mom and Emma.  Amongst tired days, long nights and yet another dirty diaper, there are those moments where time seems to stand still as you just watch your precious little newborn.  We did that with Hudson - we could just sit there and watch him for hours.  That's why I think these ones are so special - they show those quiet, special moments.  There is joy to be had in the chaos of life as well, but it's nice to stop and enjoy those moments of getting to know your new little one.

I've got a few more blog posts coming up soon so be sure to check back often.
